Voting to last until…

January 16, 2006 – 9:23 pm

We will accept voting until January 30, 2006, and until that time we will continue to fix any voting problems brought to out attention.

We will announce the winners of the categories on January 31.

Any questions?

  2. Yes I have a question.

What seems to be causing the problem for not being able to vote. Everytime I vote – it tells me my vote has already been counted.

It seems many people have been having this difficulty and it must be affecting your results. How are you attempting to fix this issue and how will it affect your final results?

    Thanks
    Tenn

  3. yes, this does seem a problem. I’ve had several say the same thing, that they either can’t vote the first time, or they can’t vote later even a couple days later.

january 30.. ouch… my readers will be sick of me if I keep reminding them to vote for another two week…lol

  4. Same comment as #1. After getting that message “Your vote has not been counted,” I believed one vote per category per person, and would not have come back, had I not seen a notice on someone’s blog that we can vote more than once. Except, it would seem that some of us can’t. And many, if not most, won’t even attempt again after getting that message. (Oh, and it’s not a one per day thing; after the first day, yesterday was my next attempt.) How valid can the results possibly be?
Anyhow, clearly y’all have worked hard, thank you for that, and I’ve found some great new blogs, thanks for that, too :)

  5. I have to say, I was excited to be nominated and excited that this had lead me to discover many other wonderful blogs that were nominated. And of course, I like winning things. But I’m starting to think this is a hoax. What kind of vote allows some people to vote more than once? What kind of vote allows ANYONE to vote more than once? It seems to have become a contest of how low the blog author will go to beg for the popular vote. I’ve reached my lowest.

  6. Just like everyone said – I can’t vote – it says I’ve already voted and this is the first time I’ve ever visited this site. Sad that a good idea like this isn’t well executed.

  7. While we love being a part of the BOB Awards, we have heard from so many people who haven’t been able to vote for us. It does seem to compound the unfairness if others are then being allowed to vote over and over again. Is there a particular way to vote every day? No one we have talked to has been allowed to do it.

On another note, would it be possible to remove the “Pages” section of the blog that states “2005 Best of Blogs” at the top? People are clicking on the categories there, thinking they’re shortcuts to voting and are getting lost in last year’s results. We have received several emails to that effect.

Thanks very much for all your hard work.
